Choosing Your Attendants

Choosing your attendants this may come easy to some and hard to others.
  • First include all of your and your fiances brothers and sisters.
  • Next think about the friends that lift you up when you are down and the friends that help you relax when you are stressed and include them.
  • And finally, think about the friends that will keep you on task and bring out the best in you and include them.
Always ask your friends and family if they would like to be included in the wedding party without pressure because you know that will financial responsibilities that go along with the part. You want to make sure that the people you choose want to be there to support you and have lots of fun along the way.

Guest List

When creating a guest list make sure to keep it flexible for a while you may have to cut some of the outer people to really have the perfect wedding.
  1. Sit down and write down all the people you would like to have at your wedding. Also have your fiance do this as well separately, you may end up having over lapping guest but that is okay.
  2. They ask each set of parents to send you a list of people that they feel are important. Again you may have some over lapping people.
  3. After you have all the lists, eliminate anyone who you have no idea who they are, your parents may not like this but its the only way to keep this wedding being about the two of you and not spiraling out of control.
  4. Look at the total list again and with your fiance rank your guests as must haves and on the fence. Make two list knowing that if it came down to it you could let go of some of the guests on the "On the Fence" list.
  5. Now you know about how many guests you are thinking about having at the wedding and every once in a while revisit the list to make changes.
  6. Remember don't tell anyone that they are coming to the wedding if you're not sure.

Budget

After figuring out what is important to the two of you. You will need to sit down and have a serious conversation about how much money the two of you and/or your families are prepared to spend on the wedding.

Remember, no matter how much money you have to spend on your wedding and honeymoon. I can show you how to create a perfect day for you.

It may be hard to talk to your parents about money but its important to be up front with everyone involved with the budget so that there are no complications latter on.

After you have this conversation you will be ready to jump in to planning your perfect wedding.

Welcome

My name is Caroline and I’m a 26 years old artist and I have a Bachelors of Fine Arts from Syracuse University in Interior Design.

A couple of years ago I got to plan my own wedding and gathered lots of information on how to have a beautiful day on a budget. I’m writing this blog to help brides who may feel overwhelmed by planning and organizing their wedding. Each day of the week I will write about every aspect of planning your wedding and how to have the day you’ve always dreamed of without going into debt.

Congrats

Congrats, you have gotten engaged!!

You’ve been waiting for this moment for a long time. Now you ask yourself “How do I start this?”

First take a few days and just enjoy being engaged, don’t answer questions from anyone, because you will never get to have these moments back. Just enjoy.
